I checked out the beach and there was only one Med gull there among the BHG while I was there. I managed to get a picture of it and it had a yellow colour ring on its left leg with the number 2H62. On its right leg it had a metal ring. I have tried to enlarge the picture to see if it had a number on it. I can make out the letters EY and then what looks like 776 (the last two numbers are indistinct and could be a T and something else I’m not sure).

Hope this helps

Ronnotmanywordshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01464075988940934969noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1495139889741812948.post-22809920062523088412014-12-02T21:33:43.391+00:002014-12-02T21:33:43.391+00:00Cheers John, It's good to have something to ph...Cheers John, It's good to have something to photograph and sunshine at the same time !!!Northumbrian Birdinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13789507404266357158noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1495139889741812948.post-17733772069988542652014-11-30T16:33:45.121+00:002014-11-30T16:33:45.121+00:00Nice post Brian.Nice post Brian.Johnnykinsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12076909025101532481noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1495139889741812948.post-62208897443522019272014-07-13T23:18:50.419+01:002014-07-13T23:18:50.419+01:00Thanks Alan , I usually have Ruddy Darter much lat...Thanks Alan , I usually have Ruddy Darter much later in the Month, but I suppose it's down to the weather and how often you can get out looking.Northumbrian Birdinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13789507404266357158noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1495139889741812948.post-1683847267108336512014-07-12T23:16:43.903+01:002014-07-12T23:16:43.903+01:00Definitely an immature male ruddy darter that one,...Definitely an immature male ruddy darter that one, much more distinctly marked than the immature common and all the features you mentioned are diagnostic.
