7-01-07 Claravale

Had a run over to Claravale feeding station to try and get some photos of whatever comes along the light is not very good, the real target was Redpolls that where reported in the nearby wood I seem to be finding it hard to catch up with any , the usual suspects where present plus Nuthatch,& Stock Dove with a GS Woodpecker with Kingfisher reported in the book but it must have been on the large pond as one the smaller ones is dry, Willow Tit briefly and a walk in the woods found a very mobile flock of Goldfinch, greenfinch, etc, with a very brief sight of a Redpoll & then they where gone, this is a good place to call in although not the easiest place to find and a key is required for the hide, the site was a former mine evidence of which is still easy to see.
