14-05-07 Druridge Area
This morning I went to St Mary’s & Seaton Sluice to seawatch plenty of Gannets moving but only a couple of Manx but I did have my first Arctic Skua of the year.
Later I drove to Druridge via Cresswell two Wheatears and a single Whimbrel in the field to the North and 6 Dunlin in the East corner, Druridge pools held the Green Winged Teal /Teal but it spent most of the time asleep and did not give good views, on to the main pools 26 Dunlin and two Little Stints with also a very nice Curlew Sandpiper, and to top it off a Wood Sandpiper a good couple of hours spent here, a carrion Crow dropped onto the tin roof and scuttled across giving me such jerk back to reality.
