1-07-08 Holywell cycle ride

Yet another cycle ride to Holywell via the fishing reservoir, and tracks through the fields, I seem to be getting my eye in for Azures now looked last year but all I got was Blue, first Large Red Damselfly, there where also thousands of very tiny frogs only a few millimetres long. Holywell still a good number of Swifts at the east end,the Great Crested Grebes, near the hide with the three young, feeding them constantly with small fish, one adult offered a fish four times to one of the young that kept dropping it so it swam to another and offered it up.
Two Common Sandpipers at the east end also up to 35 Pochard now there
Azure Damselfly
Large Red Damselfly, that's not "blue tack " keeping it down .but the head of a large nail !!!
You shall have alittle fishy............................ The catch was shared out .
Three young growing rapidly
