it looked much paler than shown here


Only one of it out of the water and no flight shots as it took off while
digiscoping and I lost it

Notice the lack of comments Brian. That speaks volumes about gulls! Probably a leucistic Herring but the primary pattern is cock on for a dark Kumliens...
Thanks I needed that,this bird looked much paler than shown,check out the gulls photo link sometime and see the plummage range on there, I was not calling it a Kumliens by any means but thought it worth posting.
